Laois gardaí involved in major drug seizure at location in the county

The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), along with Laois and Wexford Divisional Drugs Units seized approximately 13kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €182,000. The illicit drugs were seized at two separate locations in Wexford and Laois.
The seizure was carried out as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the Revenue Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), along with Laois and Wexford Divisional Drugs Units.
Two males, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently detained in Wexford and Laois Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Investigations are ongoing.
