Laois Gardaí issue warning after Halloween fireworks seized in Abbeyleix

Abbeyleix Gardai recently seized a small quantity of Fireworks in the area.
Gardaí would like to remind you that not only are fireworks illegal but also highly dangerous.
There were 34 rockets seized by Abbeyleix Gardai, which some people would consider to be a small number but all it takes is 1 firework to cause serious life altering injuries such as burns, scarring and loss of eyesight or fingers.
We would ask that in the run up to Halloween, that adults do not purchase or give fireworks to children.
