LCSP invites members of public and local press to next meeting
Laois Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) meetings are held at County Hall
THE Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) invites members of the public to attend its forthcoming open meeting on Tuesday 8 September at 11am.
Since the inception of LCSP, members of the public and local press were barred from attending their meetings.
Laois Local Community Safety Partnership was established in 2025 and brings together government agencies, local services, voluntary organisations, councillors, and community members to work collectively on issues that matter most to Laois residents.
The meeting will take place in Laois Co Council Chamber, Áras an Chontae, JFL Avenue, Portlaoise and the meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to learn about the work of LCSP and to hear updates on all the community safety initiatives across Co Laois.
A dedicated agenda item will be included to address matters of concern or interest raised by members of the public. The submissions deadline for questions is 5pm on Friday.
Cllr Caroline Dwane Stanley, vice-chairperson of Laois LCSP said: “We encourage anyone with an interest in community safety in Co Laois to use this opportunity to attend and engage with the partnership. We are looking forward to the opportunity to respond to queries from the public and provide an update on the work being done within the partnership, which brings together organisations and individuals from across various sectors in the county that are dedicated to improving community safety in our communities.” Laois Community Safety Partnership also encourages members of the public to complete its Laois Community Safety Survey. Survey responses will also inform the priorities, actions and long-term vision for community safety across Co Laois; access to the survey can be found online.
