Meeting in Laois for families who have lost a child through bereavement

The support meeting takes place in the Killeshin Hotel, Dublin Road, Portlaoise on Saturday morning 8 February from 10am.

FAMILIES in Laois who have lost a child through bereavement are invited along, free of charge, to a meeting where they will find comfort and support.

Bereaved parents set up the Anam Cara organisation, the supporting parents group, as they understand that “we don’t live in an ideal world, we live in a world after our precious children have died before their time.”

The organisation was established to help themselves and all bereaved parents cope with their grief and loss and journey on.

The meeting will be held in the Killeshin Hotel, Dublin Road, Portlaoise on Saturday morning 8 February from 10am.

Parents who have experienced the unimaginable are invited to the support meeting to gather and support one another through the pain of losing their only child or children.

Anam Cara, meaning “soul friend” in Gaelic, offers a safe space for these parents to connect, share stories, and find solace in the company of others who truly understand.

You are invited to the meeting to find comfort in the embrace of a community that walks the same path, where understanding and compassion are abundant.
