THE winner of this year's Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Awards at The Curragh Racecourse was Anna Marie Conroy from Ferbane in Co Offaly.

This was Anna Marie's first ever win and she was at The Curragh with her husband Kieran Conroy.

Anna Marie was wearing a vintage Karen Millen suit that was in her wardrobe for the last 15 years, with shoes from Dune, a hat by Alison Roe Roscrea, vintage blouse and bag are borrowed from her mum Marie, and a necklace is borrowed from her mother-in-law Margaret.

With this year’s theme ‘Shine in Blue’, racegoers lit up the course in bold and breathtaking shades of blue, competing for a glittering prize including a luxury stay at Barberstown Castle and a sapphire worth €5,000.

The Curragh Racecourse continues to blend world-class racing with fearless fashion and unforgettable entertainment.

Arthur Gourounlian shared his excitement ahead of the event.

“We are beyond thrilled to be back for our third year at the Barberstown Castle Sapphire Style Awards,” he said.

“Fashion is our passion, and every year, this incredible event brings together the most fabulous, fearless, and fashion-forward individuals.

“The style just keeps getting bigger, bolder, and more breathtaking, and we couldn’t wait to see everyone shining bright on Saturday (19 July) to serve looks, celebrate each other, and crown our winner.” On Sunday (20 July) the spotlight shifted to families with a day packed full of wonder and excitement.

The Dragon Experience brought mythical magic to life at The Curragh Racecourse with live dragon shows, and a meet-and-greet and photo opportunities with the dragons after each show.

Designed especially for children and families, the show featured animatronic and walkabout dragons, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for racegoers away from the track.
