Patients lying on trolleys in Portlaoise Hospital today

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) reported today, Friday 27 December, that there are eight people lying on trolley’s waiting on bed in A&E unit of Portlaoise Hospital.
The INMO in their daily national trolley watch said that this morning there were 234 admitted patients in hospitals around the country waiting for beds.
It said 170 patients are waiting in the emergency departments, while 64 patients are in wards elsewhere in the hospitals.
