Proceeds of Ballinakill Vintage Indoor Motor Show presented to Laois Hospice

PROCEEDS of the recent Portlaoise Indoor Motor Show were presented to Laois Hospice on 9 December by members of Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Owners Club, who organised the event.
The annual Indoor Motor Show, which was held in Laois Shopping Centre on 26 October, experienced ‘record attendance’ on the day.
The event was a success, with families, locals and visitors enjoying all the show had to offer, including a spectacular display of vintage and classic vehicles from all over Ireland, as well as autojumble and antique trade stalls.
Many individuals helped bring the show together over the busy bank holiday period. Assistance was provided by Order of Malta, Laois Shopping Centre staff and Timahoe Soccer Club. Laois Vintage Ltd. also participated in the bucket collection alongside Laois Lions Club.
Donations were generously given by the public. Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Owners Club say this has contributed to its “best ever” collection to date.
Members collected over €10,000, setting a record for the event.
In a statement, the Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Owners Club said they wish to thank everyone involved in raising funds and participating in what is now “a national show on the classic car movement calendar”.
Attending the cheque presentation were Kevin Doyle, Laois Shopping Centre, and Geraldine Duff and Pat Walsh of Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Owners Club.
Also present were members of Laois Hospice, Laois Vintage Ltd. and the Ballinakill Vintage and Classic Owners Club Indoor Show committee.
