GARDAÍ labelled a driver they detected travelling at a speed of 180km along the M7 through Laois as being “the fast and the clueless.”
In a post on its social media site gardaí said: “The Laois Roads Policing Unit stopped a tourist driving rental vehicle at 180kph on the M7 earlier today.”
“GPS said, “arrive in 1 hour,” but they aimed for 20 minutes. Welcome to Ireland. Speed limits still apply.”
Driver arrested and charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
