YouTubers set to star at Vintage Rally in Laois

THE highly anticipated Raheen Vintage Rally is set to make a welcome return on Sunday 13 July with the popular annual draw following closely on Friday 19 July.

This year’s events are shaping up to be the club’s most exciting to date, with a jam-packed schedule designed to appeal to vintage enthusiasts, families and the wider community.

All proceeds from both events go directly in aid of Teac Tom and other local charities and causes, continuing the club’s long-standing tradition of community support and charitable giving.

The rally in Corbally, Abbeyleix will also feature some great headline musical performances by country music stars Gavin Gribben and Aishling Rafferty, who will take the stage to provide lively entertainment throughout the rally day. 

Farmer Phil the well-known agri-influencer and YouTube farming personality as well as Katie Shanahan, the animal advocate and social media figure known for her dancing and work with livestock will engage with fans and offer insights into rural life and community involvement.

The organisers say that the 2025 Vintage Rally promises a wide variety of attractions including vintage tractor and car displays, motorbike and truck exhibitions, threshing and thatching demonstrations as well as country market, bake sale and autotjumble, forge demonstrations and wheel of fortune. 

There will also be modern machinery and stationary engine showcases, an auction and children’s entertainment. One of the standout features will be the Fun Dog Show, hosted in association with The Haven Rescue which begins at 1.30pm. It will feature categories such as Best Puppy, Best Trick, Dapper Dog (Best Dressed) and the Best Dog handled by a Girl or Boy— offering a fun, family-friendly atmosphere for pet lovers.

Admission is €5 per adult and free for children.

Founded in 2009, the Raheen Vintage Club has grown to become a cornerstone of local heritage and community support. With each event, the club celebrates rural traditions while raising vital funds for charities like Teac Tom, which offers crucial mental health services across Laois and surrounding counties.

In 2024, through a series of events including its annual rally, the club raised €11,500, which was donated to a number of local charities, groups and community initiatives.

The 2025 committee is led by Chairman Chris Goode, Seamus Cranny (Treasurer), Alanna McGowan (Show Secretary), Eddie Moffitt (Club Secretary) and Amy Quinn (PRO). Together, they continue to build on the club’s strong tradition of community involvement and support.
