O’Sullivan captures Hurlers Captain’s Prize in style

Captain Philip Monnelly presents Michael O'Sullivan with the Overall Winner prize

A VERY successful Laois Hurlers Golf Society Captains Prize Outing took place at Rathdowney Golf Club.

Despite the positive weather forecast Society Captain, Philip Monnelly, was somewhat concerned, however, he needn’t have been. It was a beautiful day filled with friendly competition and camaraderie.

The course was in great condition thanks to the dedicated efforts of the greenkeeping staff. The well-maintained fairways and meticulous greens provided a perfect stage for the event.

The overall winner on the day was the former Castletown and Laois legend, Mickey O’Sullivan. His performance was nothing short of impressive, displaying steady and skilful golf throughout.

Congratulations to all the winners and especially Society Captain, Philip Monnelly, for orchestrating such an enjoyable outing.

Laois Hurlers Golf Society take to the fairway’s again on Saturday 30 August when they head to Portlaoise Golf Club.
