Portlaoise RFC embark on exceptional fundraising effort

Portlaoise Rugby Club are inviting you to support them in an exceptional fundraising effort – a 24 hour Spinathon at the Portlaoise PLAZA this weekend. The event will commence at noon on Saturday and conclude at noon on Sunday.

This promises to be a fantastic community event, with lots happening throughout the day and night. Portlaosie RFC are delighted to welcome Leinster Rugby’s mascot, Leo the Lion. There will be hampers to be won, live music from a DJ, and Midlands 103 broadcasting live from the Plaza from 2pm-5pm.

The club’s incredible volunteers will be cycling non-stop for 24 hours, cheered on by their enthusiastic supporters. It’s a great opportunity to show your support for the club, enjoy the atmosphere, and get involved in the fun.

Players, coaches, parents, and volunteers aged 14+ can saddle up and cycle for just 15 minutes. Every spin counts. Goodie bags for all cyclists. Not a cyclist? No worries — they also need volunteers for bucket and tap collections on the day.

All funds raised will go directly towards supporting teams and improving facilities at Portlaoise Rugby Club—so come along, get involved, and help them keep their club thriving To donate go to https://gofund.me/daf74437
