Sarah Healy finishes eighth in Diamond League 1,500m final

Sarah Healy finished eighth in the 1,500 metres at the Diamond League Grand Final in Zurich.

The Monkstown runner finished in 3 minutes, 59.9 seconds, more than two and a half seconds off her season and personal best.

Kenya’s Nelly Chepchirchir came out on top in the race.

Healy previously ran a lifetime best of 3:57.15 to finish a close second to Chepchirchir at the Paris Diamond League. 

The 24-year-0ld's next challenge will be attempting to make the 1,500m final in Tokyo.
