Sherlock and Bowe to the fore for The Heath’s success

Tobar an Léinn NS Raheen 2-3
THE Heath NS captured the Division 4 Hurling Shiel after a quality showing in the final against Tobar an Léinn NS Raheen. There was very little between the sides in the first half but The Heath were exceptional after the break to run out worthy winners.
Billy Sherlock gave The Heath the lead with a goal in the first minute of the tie but Raheen responded in kind with an amazing strike from Joe Fitzpatrick from inside his own half. Seosamh Lalor added a point before Raheen got in for their second goal thanks to Kayden Doheny.
But The Heath were not behind for long, with Sherlock pointing before Zac Bowe raised a green flag to bring the sides level. Sherlock pointed again moments later followed by one each from Jack Hyland and Jack Sheeran as The Heath surged in front.
Raheen returned fire through Lalor but The Heath ended the half with a fine goal from Sheeran, a point from Daniel Cushen and a ’45 from Noah Clear to go in at the break leading by 3-6 to 2-2.
Lalor was on target for Raheen right after the restart bet The Heath hit back with a sudden 1-1 from Sherlock to go ten points clear. Bowe was next to raise a green flag as The Heath’s score continued to rise.
Clear slotted another ’45 before The Heath raised another green flag, this time thanks to an own goal. Cormac Walsh added his name to the scoresheet with a goal and a point before Bowe and Sherlock extended the lead.
There was an eighth and final goal for The Heath through Tom McDonald as his side left O’Moore Park with the Shield in their possession.
