Three Laois players selected on this year’s Camogie Soaring Stars team

LAOIS have no less than three players included on the 2025 PwC Camogie Soaring Stars team – Clodagh Tynan, Gráinne Delaney and Aimee Collier.
It was a fantastic year for Laois camogie being crowned Premier Junior champions and also claiming the National League Division 3A crown.
It is probably no surprise that Clodagh Tynan has been selected at centre-back.
The St Brigid’s clubwoman has established herself as a central figure in the Laois squad, apparent by the fact that she was appointed captain this year.
Despite her quiet nature, Tynan embraced the responsibility that came with being an inter-county captain and found her own way of making the role work.
On All-Ireland final day Clodagh spoke of the pride of representing her teammates and lifting the trophy in Croke Park, even if it meant holding her nerves together for the post-match speech.
She is joined up front by Camross teammates, Gráinne Delaney at wing-forward and Aimee Collier at corner forward, who scored 1-2 and 0-6 respectively in the All-Ireland final win over Armagh.
Quoting from Keely Burke’s review of the All-Ireland final for the ****Laois Nationalist****, she said: “Aimee Collier’s frees became a metronome for Laois’s momentum while Grainne Delaney’s vision and work rate gave them an edge in attack.” For sharpshooter Collier, the moment the final whistle blew was a release of pure emotion after years of hard work. “All I did was cry after the final whistle.” It was a fantastic year for Laois camogie being crowned Premier Junior champions and also claiming the National League Division 3A crown.
The PwC Camogie All-Stars and PwC Camogie Soaring Stars teams, along with the PwC Manager of the Year, will be honoured in Croke Park on Saturday 15 November.
Speaking about the announcement, Brian Molloy, Uachtarán an Chumainn Camógaíochta, said: “I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to all of the players chosen as PwC Camogie Soaring Stars for 2025, whose displays in the Intermediate and Premier Junior All-Ireland Championships were a joy to behold this summer.”
