Van driver dies in crash with car in Co Tipperary

A man in his 40s has died in a crash between a car and van in Co Tipperary.
The collision happened on the N24 near Kilsheelan at around 1.20pm on Thursday.
The man who died was the driver of the van.
His body was removed from the scene to the mortuary at Tipperary University Hospital.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, was seriously injured and is receiving treatment at University Hospital Waterford.
The scene of the crash was cordoned off to facilitate a technical examination by Garda forensic collision investigators.
Gardaí in Clonmel have appealed to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
