Monday's front pages are firmly focused on Joe Biden deciding to step down as the Democratic candidate in the US presidential election race after sustained pressure from his donors to do so.
The Irish Times and Irish Examiner report US President Joe Biden has dropped out of the November US presidential election with a statement posted on X on Sunday evening.
The Echo reports that €24 million has been spent to date on two BusConnects projects in Cork.

In the UK, US President Joe Biden’s shock decision to exit the 2024 presidential race dominates Monday’s newspaper headlines.
The Daily Telegraph, Financial Times and The Guardian all splash on Mr Biden’s withdrawal, telling readers he also endorsed vice president Kamala Harris as the new Democratic nominee.
