Alison Moyet to play in Dublin in November

Alison Moyet has announced shows in Dublin and Belfast for November this year.

The English singer-songwriter will be touring the UK and Europe, performing songs from her time with synth-pop duo Yazoo, as well as tracks from her solo electronica albums the minutes and Other.

Much of the band Yazoo's material has rarely been performed outside of their two brief tours (their 1982 breakthrough and their 2008 ‘Reconnected’ reunion).

Both of Moyet's solo albums, produced by and predominantly co-written with Guy Sigsworth, were received as triumphant creative returns to electronica.

She said that she is looking forward to a "palate refresher" after "many years touring the same pool of songs".

Moyet has won three BRIT Awards, the Icon Award at the Silver Clef Awards, a BASCA Gold Badge from The Ivors Academy, and has also received a Grammy nomination.

Moyet will be playing at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on 2nd November and Waterfront Hall, Belfast on 3rd November.

Tickets cost €61.85 – €78.25, plus a 12.5 per cent service charge, and go on sale on Friday March 13th at 10am.
