Ireland's very own Charleen Murphy is set to enter the Love Island villa.

Viewers were given the first glimpse of the influencer last night as she prepared to join Casa Amor.

It comes after speculation was rife that the Dubliner would join the TV show at some point throughout the series.

Viewers were not sure whether she would be a bombshell or join during Casa Amor, but that question has now been answered.

Murphy, aged 27, joins the group of six girls and six boys who will attempt to form connections with the OG islanders, who have been in the villa since around the beginning of June.

Casa Amor contestants who will hope to connect with the islanders over the course of a few days, with the aim of being chosen over that person's original partner.

Murphy has said she has her eye on four men: Brothers Kavan and Aidan, Lorenzo, and Galway man Sean 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald.

Sean has been coupled up with Lola since the beginning, and they are the only exclusive couple in the villa at the moment, having even said 'I love you' to each other after only two weeks.

"They have bits of my type in each of them but I think I’d need to see that and to actually chat to them properly. Kavan I would say out of all of them is my actual type on paper. I’m excited to get to know all of them," Murpy said.

"I think everyone owes it to themselves to see different connections, and if something isn’t working maybe it’s time to move onto the next or explore something.

"I think Kavan did the right thing to not close it off so early on with Jasmine because I think you need to explore in there to see if there’s someone better for you, that's the whole point of Love Island. I think his head could definitely turn!"

She also said she plans to be herself, a naturally flirty person, and will "be bringing the Irish charm.

"I think if you go in with too much of a strategy, it’s like you’re forcing it and not being yourself. I’m going to be myself and go with what my heart says and follow my gut.

I’ll talk to everyone, give everyone a chance, even people I might not necessarily have my eye on because people could surprise you so you never know!"

She added, however, that although her goal is to find love, "drama probably comes along with the nature of Casa Amor".

"It’s gonna happen! I am a girl’s girl, but I need to not think about the girls in the Villa because I haven’t met them yet, this is my experience and my time. I need to go in with the blinkers on, and just think day one let’s go and let’s see what happens!"

She wants "a good guy," who is fun, funny, and doesn't take themselves too seriously.

"I just think that would be such a turn off if he just didn’t laugh at himself and laugh at life, that’s really important. Someone that’s a best friend as well as a partner is my type."

Love Island continues Sunday at 9pm on Virgin Media Play & Virgin Media Two
