Russell T Davies, Denise Welch and Julie Hesmondhalgh were among the stars in attendance at a launch event for a new Channel 4 series on Thursday.
The celebrities posed for photos on the red carpet at Home Cinema in Manchester as they gathered to celebrate new TV drama Tip Toe, created by Doctor Who showrunner Davies.
The series follows the escalating conflict between two next-door neighbours, gay bar owner Leo Struthers, played by Alan Cumming and struggling electrician Clive Goss, played by David Morrissey.

Award-winning screenwriter and producer Davies, 63, smiled as he attended the event and wore a casual ensemble consisting of a blue shirt and black trousers.
Actress and TV personality Welch, known for starring in soaps including Waterloo Road and Coronation Street, was all smiles as she struck a pose wearing a white shirt, a black satin maxi skirt and vibrant red heels.
The 68-year-old actress, who also stars in the new series, was also pictured embracing Hesmondhalgh, who wore a dark blue denim playsuit and strappy sandals to the event.
Hesmondhalgh, 56, is also known for her role in ITV soap Coronation Street and is among the stars set to feature in the highly anticipated new series of BBC reality show The Celebrity Traitors.

Other celebrities in attendance included Coronation Street stars Colson Smith and Jack P Shepherd, who posed for photos together, as well as actor Dominic Holmes.
Hollyoaks actress Anna Passey was also at the event, pictured smiling as she dazzled in a summery yellow shirt dress, which she paired with brown cowboy boots and a beige wicker handbag.
Actress and singer Olivia Frances-Brown also opted for cowboy boots, which she paired with her floral beige dress, while soap star Beth Nixon wore a satin green co-ord consisting of a maxi skirt and a tie-up top.
