Aldi confirms opening hours for Christmas

Aldi has confirmed their opening hours over the festive period.

They have extended their opening hours until 11 pm on Monday, December 22nd, and Tuesday, December 23rd, giving customers extra time to stock up on festive favourites.

Aldi will close its Irish stores for three days over the holidays, on Christmas Day, St. Stephen’s Day and New Year’s Day.

The supermarket has also revealed that between 8 am and 9 am is typically the quietest time for customers to do their Christmas shopping.

For shoppers who prefer to visit during the evening, 7 pm to 10 pm is also a quiet time to shop.

Over the festive period, the retailer expects Thursday, 18th December, to be the least busy day to visit stores, as well as Christmas Eve, for those who might need to buy last-minute essentials.

The retailer predicts it will sell more than three million mince pies and over 120,000 Christmas puddings in the run-up to Christmas.

Aldi expects its Slow-Cooked Irish Silverside Ham, 100 per cent Bord Bia Quality-Assured Bronze Turkey Crowns and indulgent Specially Selected Irish cheeses to be popular with shoppers this festive season.
