A jury has been watching CCTV footage of the moment a young father was shot to death as he pushed his four-month-old son in a pram through a lane in north Dublin.

A silver Volkswagen Golf with a Wexford registration, L-plates and tinted windows can be seen in the CCTV travelling in the Darndale area at the time of the fatal shooting.

The prosecution has alleged that the accused woman, Rachel Redmond (34), drove the shooter – her then partner – away from the scene and later checked him into a hotel in an effort to help him evade prosecution.

It is the State's case that in the aftermath of Jordan Davis' murder, Ms Redmond was in a vehicle driving around the area with witness Stacey Hayes, and they picked up the alleged gunman Wayne Cooney.

The jurors have been told by Seoirse Ó Dúnlaing SC, prosecuting, that while Mr Davis was himself heavily involved in crime, this was not a concern to bring with them into the jury room as they consider the case.

CCTV examiner Garda Cormac Flynn on Friday took the jury through a compilation of CCTV footage, which showed Mr Davis pushing a buggy onto Primrose Grove in Darndale at 3.56pm on May 22nd, 2019.

A minute later, Mr Davis met a named man on Primrose Grove and the two of them walked towards Our Lady Immaculate Church.

In another clip at 3.58pm, the witness said a silver Volkswagen Golf with a Wexford registration, L-plates and tinted windows can be seen travelling on The Link Road in Darndale in the direction of Tulip Court.

At 4pm, Mr Davis, who is still pushing the buggy, and the named man walk down a laneway between a church and a national school when "a figure" riding a bike appears behind them.

The figure on the bike is dressed in dark clothing, including a black gilet jacket and black baseball cap.

The garda said the figure is holding "an object" in his right hand and the other hand is on the left handle bar.

The witness said the figure on the bike extends his right arm and points it towards Mr Davis, who then collapses to the ground.

The figure, the court heard, turns his bike around and cycles back towards Primrose Grove still holding "the object" in his right hand.

The witness said Mr Davis's body can be seen on the ground behind the buggy at 4.01pm.

The Volkswagen Golf with the L-plates can be seen travelling on Primrose Grove at 4pm.

Earlier, Gerry Woods from Dublin Fire Brigade said he was dispatched to an incident on a lane between Our Lady Immaculate Church in Darndale and a national school on May 22nd, 2019.

Mr Woods said he was directed to a young male, who he now knew to be Jordan Davis, lying on the ground around 4.05pm that day and gave him a medical assessment. He said the man had head injuries and had received a number of gunshot wounds, agreeing with the prosecutor that his injuries were incompatible with life.

The trial continues on Tuesday before Mr Justice Paul Burns and a jury of three men and nine women. It is expected to last three weeks.

Ms Redmond from Coolock, but with an address at Clifdenville Road, Cliftonville Avenue, North Belfast, Co Antrim, is charged on two counts that on or about May 22nd, 2019, in the county of the City of Dublin, did knowingly or believing that another person, namely Wayne Cooney, committed an arrestable offence, to wit murder, without reasonable excuse did an act with intent to impede his apprehension or prosecution.

Ms Redmond has pleaded not guilty to the two counts.
