John (Jack) Keaveny, RIP
John (Jack) Keaveny, Rockwood, Claregalway, Galway and formerly Ballylinan, Laois and Bohermore Tyre Centre, Galway passed away peacefully on 21 July, in the exceptional care of the nursing staff of Galway Hospice, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his cherished son Colin and his parents Kathleen and Seán Keaveny.
Beloved husband of Ann (née Tonery) and much-loved father of Kay. He will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by his wife, daughter, son-in-law Niall, daughter-in-law Nicola, his four adored grandchildren Seán, Cathal, Clíodhna and James, brothers Ken, Noel and Brendan, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, godson Michael, relatives, neighbours and his many friends, including his golf buddies at Cregmore Park Golf Club.
May His Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin, Galway City (H91 CK84) on Friday 24 July from 6.30pm. Private removal to his residence at 8pm.
Funeral cortege will arrive at The Church of the Assumption and St James, Claregalway (H91 YH05) on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 11am.
Cremation service will take place on Monday 27 July at 12 noon at Shannon Crematorium, Co Clare (V14 PV30).
Jack’s Funeral Mass and cremation service will be live streamed, links on RIP.ie.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Galway Hospice Foundation.

There is ample parking available at The Corrib Shopping Centre Multi-Storey Car Park (H91 DP6R) which is only two minutes’ walk to/from the funeral home. The entrance to this car park is at Bóthar na mBan. Please note this car park will close at 9pm on Friday evening.
