Joe Coogan Auctioneer recently offered lands near the Laois/Carlow border for sale.
Circa 18.5 acres, the lands at Doonane, Crettyard, Co Laois were ideally suitable for summer grazing hay/silage with water supply. The 18.5 acres has road frontage to public road.
The lands are situated 6 miles Castlecomer.
Bidding commenced at €200,000, was withdrawn at this figure for negotiation.
The land was sold after auction for substantially higher figure. The lands made more than €15,000 per acre.
The auction was held at his auction room Ballycomey House, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny with a good attendance on the day.
