The Portarlington based Auctioneer, Matt Dunne was instructed to sell 7 ¾ acres at Ballyshane, Inistiogue, Co. Kilkenny. Access to the land is via a right of way. The entire is in scrub & is situated on the side of a hill. Matt placed a low reserve of €5,000 per acre & put it for public Auction on June 13th in the Woodstock Arms, Inistiogue. Over 20 people turned up at the auction and 4 bidders chased before it was knocked down to a neighbour for €53,000 or c. €7,000 per acre. The owner, a Dublin business man, was delighted with the outcome.
