Two men have died while the other passengers, a man and woman in their 20s, were taken to St Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny

Two occupants of the car were pronounced deceased at the scene 

The council is asking the public to continue to shelter in place and not to travel out unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Denise O’Meara (33) from Portroe, Nenagh, Co Tipperary was driving an Audi A4 car which was involved in the incident that occurred along the N80 in the townland of Ballintrane, Ballon, Co Carlow at 6.51pm.
