Minister of State Timmy Dooley said it was his understanding that there would be a disciplinary hearing on Thursday evening, from which there would be a report, an assessment and a determination of responsibility.

Noel Walsh had worked for Dundalk since 2012, and was described as “the staple of the everyday and often the voice of reason” by the club’s head of football operations last year.

Chief operations officer, Martin Connolly, claimed he was informed by Dundalk’s chairman on February 26th, 2024, that he was to be removed from his duties with the club. However, he was paid up until May 22nd, 2024.

He will lead a consortium of investors who have agreed to underwrite the players’ current wages until the end of the season and will examine the viability of the club and its facilities going forward.
