A PEDESTRIAN crossing is needed to be upgraded or manned at one of the largest primary schools in Laois.

"There was a green area beside Scoil Bhríde (Knockmay). It was parish land. It should have been used as a park or a green area, but that went into houses,” said one councillor.

“We have to make it easy for people to try and come out to exercise their democratic right," said one councillor.
