FAMILY Carers Ireland, the national charity supporting Ireland’s family carers has announced that this year’s Netwatch Laois Family Carer of the Year is Sarah Dooley from Debbycot in Mountmellick. Sarah was nominated for the award by a friend.

WITH the resignation from Sinn Féin of its election poll-topper Brian Stanley in recent weeks, the party is holding an election selection convention to nominate a candidate to secure the Sinn Féin vote in the Laois constituency.
