Gardaí have arrested a man (20s) after Revenue officers seized suspected LSD with an estimated value of €200,000 at Dublin Airport on Friday.

The man has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on Monday morning.

Investigations are ongoing, gardaí said.

Earlier this week, a man and women were arrested after approximately €36,000 worth of heroin was seized in Galway on Wednesday.

This comes after a car was stopped by the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit at Cappataggle, Co Galway, at around 11pm on the day.

In excess of 252 grams of heroin (with an estimated street value of €35,700, subject to analysis) was seized and a man and a woman, both aged in their 50s, were arrested.

They are both being held in a Garda station in Galway, and can be held for up to seven days.
