Monday's front pages focus on a range of stories, from the State being unprepared for extreme weather events to it being 'inevitable' that AI deepfakes will be used in Irish elections.

The Irish Times reports that new plans drawn up to help the State handle extreme weather and climate change are severely inadequate, a damning assessment by the climate change watchdog has found.

The Irish Examiner reports it is “inevitable” that deepfake AI videos of Irish politicians aimed at misleading the public and undermining the integrity of our elections will surface in the coming years. 

The Echo reports that more than half of Cork City Council tenants living in 60-year-old council homes have reported persistent issues.
