Ballyfin Vintage mourns dear friend and club member

Enda Dunne, RIP

Ballyfin Vintage and Veteran Club is mourning a dear friend and club member, who died unexpectedly on Friday.

Enda Dunne of Trumera, Mountrath was a kind and dedicated supporter, who will be hugely missed by everyone involved with the club.

The autojumble at Ballyfin Community Centre this Sunday has been cancelled, as a mark of respect.

Ballyfin Vintage and Veteran Club said on social media: ‘It is with great sadness that I share the sad news of the death of our dear friend and club member Enda Dunne.

‘As a mark of respect, the autojumble on Sunday is cancelled. May Enda rest in peace. Sincere condolences to his family.’ 

The family death notice on RIP.ie says: ‘Enda Dunne, Trumera, Mountrath, Laois/Portlaoise, Laois.

‘It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Enda on 17 October. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Sadie.

‘Enda will be deeply regretted by his adoring wife Nicola, his beloved children Michael and Emily, brothers Joe and Paul, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and work colleagues in SDS.

‘Reposing at his family home (R32PY74) on Sunday from 1pm until 8pm. Rosary recital at 7pm.

‘Funeral arriving at SS Peter and Paul’s church, Portlaoise for 12 noon mass on Monday. Internment will take place afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s cemetery, Portlaoise.

‘House strictly private on Monday morning please. The family wishes to thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.

‘May he rest in peace.

‘Donations in lieu of Pieta House.’
