Ballylinan residents urgedto take health check survey

TWO surveys are getting underway in Ballylinan as part of a health check study being carried out on the village by South East Technological University (SETU).
The business and community surveys have been compiled by SETU in collaboration with an interim Ballylinan Town Team and Laois County Council’s regeneration section.
The health check study looks at all aspects of society to gauge what the public feel about their community from public services, vacancy and dereliction, and sporting facilities to anti-social behaviour.
The findings of the surveys will be included in the health check report, which is the first step in the formulation of a regeneration plan for the village.
The next step will be the development of a plan which will identify key projects for which the Town Team can seek funding. This is in line with the government’s Town Centre First Policy.
