A DISQUALIFIED learner driver who was arrested in Laois was described by gardaí as ‘a recipe for disaster’.
The banned motorist was caught behind the wheel on a roundabout off the M7 motorway, where the car was swiftly seized and towed away.
Gardaí said the learner permit holder was not accompanied by a qualified driver and was already under a driving ban.
The culprit was arrested and charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.
In a Hell’s Kitchen-style social media post titled ‘Chef’s Special’, An Garda Síochána Laois Offaly said today:
'A Recipe for Disaster:
*Take one learner permit holder.
*Remove the accompanying driver.
*Add a driving disqualification.
*Mix together on the M7.
*Cook until gardaí arrive.
Serve immediately with:
*One arrest.
*One court appearance at Portlaoise District Court.
*Bon appétit!'
