The idea to host the civic reception was proposed by cllr Pascal McEvoy and seconded by cllr Catherine Fitzgerald. The event was hosted by cllr Pádraig Fleming, cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, and the local authority’s chief executive Michael Rainey.
