Laois man pleaded not guilty to theft of €4.60 worth of groceries

A LOCAL man pleaded not guilty to the theft of €4.60 worth of groceries when he appeared before Portlaoise District Court.

Wayne O’Donoghue (24), Old Knockmay Road, Portlaoise was charged with the offence that allegedly took place at Portlaoise Plaza, Togher, Portlaoise on 22 March.

Judge Andrew Cody remanded Mr O’Donoghue on continuing bail to 7 May for a full hearing into the case.
