Portlaoise Court: Man charged with imprisoning woman in Laois

A MAN who was charged with falsely imprisoning and assaulting a woman causing her harm came before a sitting of the family law court in Portlaoise.
The 21-year-old defendant, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the alleged victim, is alleged to have carried out the offences at a house in Laois on 4 March 2023.
Judge Susan Fay remanded the accused on continuing bail to 17 February.
