A POPULAR staff member has said farewell to the People First Credit Union office in Portlaoise, after 20 years of service.
After two decades in many roles, from the front counter to lending, Deirdre Walsh will be greatly missed by colleagues and customers at the busy office.
While sad to see her go, colleagues made sure her departure was memorable with a lovely celebration and presentation of a floral bouquet on Friday 30 August, the day before she signed off for the last time.
Posting photos on the People First social media page, colleagues said: ‘Today marks the end of an era in People First, as we bid farewell to our dear colleague Deirdre Walsh. Deirdre has dedicated an incredible 20 years of service to our Credit Union.
‘She has worked within many roles, from front counter to her current role within lending. Many of our Portlaoise members will know Deirdre for her bubbly personality and kind words.
‘Dee, we will miss you but we are excited for you and your new adventures. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter. From your PFCU family.’
