The 'Let's Talk: Cyber Security & Business -The Hidden Costs of Being Unprepared,' event is taking place on Wednesday 21 May
THE Midlands Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Network along with Laois Chamber of Commerce and Laois Local Enterprise Office (LEO) are holding a workshop aimed at businesses in Laois.
Entitled ‘Let’s Talk: Cyber Security & Business – The Hidden Costs of Being Unprepared,’ - the event is taking place on Wednesday 21 May in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise from 10am to 1pm.
The event will shine a light on the often underestimated risks of cyber threats for businesses and the real costs of not being adequately prepared.
With a mix of expert insights, practical case studies and actionable guidance, the event is aimed at helping local enterprises understand their cyber security responsibilities and how to strengthen their digital resilience.
The morning will begin with Jackie Carroll from Laois Chamber of Commerce and the Technical Advisor for the Midlands ICT Network Cormac Strain followed by the Security Officer at Laois County Council Steven Cummins and Mark Clancy from Laois LEO who will highlight available supports for businesses looking to enhance their digital security.
Other speakers will include representatives from EKCO, cloud and security providers and from Blacknight, online infrastructure providers.
