Laois garda appeal after two burglaries

GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses as they investigate two burglaries in a Laois housing estate.

Both break-ins happened after dark at Brockley Park in Stradbally, between 5.30pm and 9pm on Friday 15 November.

A suspicious male dressed in dark clothing, with his face covered, was seen in the area after 7pm that evening.

The burglaries are being investigated by the detective branch in Portlaoise Garda Station, which can be contacted at 057 8674134.

In a post on the Stradbally Noticeboard social media page this evening, administrators urged anyone who saw unfamiliar individuals or vehicles in the Brockley Park area at the relevant time to contact gardaí.

The post added: ‘Also, gardaí in Stradbally would urge people to take measures to secure their property, especially at this time of year. Any vehicles or persons that are acting suspiciously in the area, please contact gardaí immediately on 057 8674100.’
