Laois Le Chéile returns! Free community musical festival to take place Saturday 6 June

Laois Le Chéile, a free community music festival, returns to The Fort Outdoor Performance Space on Saturday 6 June from 2-7pm.
Live music on the day includes performances by Music Generation Laois Primary School Harp Ensemble, Bells Ukrainian Children’s Choir, DP Kidz, Open Mic, Beryl, Music Generation Laois Community Choir, a Ceilí Mór with Maureen Culleton, and Music Generation Laois Band Showcase featuring The Controversy, Scout, Power Switch, Just a Band, Duck Tape, Departure, Exile-07, and The Bass Brothers.
Craft workshops will take place throughout the day, including slime making, upcycled crafting, polymer clay and circus skills workshops. Free face painting is also available.
Laois Le Chéile is supported by Laois Integration Network, Laois Partnership and Creative Ireland Laois/Laois County Council.
Laois Le Chéile marks Cruinniú na nÓg, a national day of creativity for children and young people across Ireland. All events are free of charge and open to all.
Rosa Flannery, Music Development Officer with Music Generation Laois ,extends an open invitation to all communities and all ages to come along: “We are delighted to present Laois Le Chéile, a free day of music for all communities across Laois to come and enjoy, at the Fort Outdoor Performance Space on the grounds of Laois Music Centre.”
