Dahlias are flowering plants in the sunflower family. They are characterised by their showy, diverse, and often large flowers. Native to Mexico and Central America, dahlias are known for their vibrant colours, varied forms, and long blooming season, typically from summer to autumn. They grow from underground tubers and are popular as garden plants, cut flowers, and competitive shows.
