Laois native Liam Hyland appointed President of the IEA

IEA Ireland have announced Liam Hyland will take up the Presidency of the Irish Exporters Association. He is currently a Director of Export & International Trade, FoodEx Ireland, which is part of the Musgrave Group and has been affiliated with the iEA as a National Council member since 2020. He succeeds Gabriel White the Executive Director, and Head of Supply Chain & Logistics with PTC Therapeutics.

“I am honoured to take on the role of President of the Irish Exporters Association for 2026. At a time of increasing complexity in international trade, the work of the IEA in supporting exporters has never been more important. It is crucial that the IEA remains prominent in voicing the needs of its members to government and key stakeholder groups, ensuring that the Irish exporting industry can continue to grow sustainably in worldwide markets' Liam Hyland said on his appointment.

Welcoming Liam to the role, Simon McKeever, Chief Executive of the IEA, said: “I am delighted to welcome Liam Hyland as President of the Irish Exporters Association for 2026. Liam brings deep international trade expertise, along with a proven dedication to customers that is central to his approach …' in his remarks Mr McKeever touched on the great importance of the role within the current global context of a highly fragmented and established trade system.
