Laois store that sold €1m ticket is revealed

THE Laois store that sold a €1 million winning Lottery ticket at the weekend has been revealed.
The National Lottery confirmed this afternoon that Dunnes Stores in the Kyle Shopping Centre, Portlaoise sold the winning Daily Million top prize ticket.
The newly minted millionaire bought the Quick Pick ticket in Dunnes on the day of the draw on Friday 18 July.
Store manager Ken Cullen said: “It’s an incredible moment for our shop and for Portlaoise. We’re absolutely delighted to have played a part in such a life-changing event.
“There’s a real buzz around the place and we’re so proud that someone in our community has won this amazing prize."
The lucky player became the fifth winner of the top prize in the Daily Million so far this year, after scooping €1 million in the 9pm draw.
The winning numbers were 9, 20, 25, 33, 37, 39 and the bonus was 29.
As they wait for the winner to come forward, the National Lottery is urging all players who purchased tickets at Dunnes Stores Kyle Shopping Centre to check their tickets carefully.
