Laois town faces a month of traffic restrictions
Laois Co Council announced the restrictions today
PORTARLINGTON is facing traffic restrictions at a busy junction for the next month.
Starting tomorrow (Thursday), traffic controls will be in place from 8am until 6pm, at the junction between Bracklone Street and Canal Road.
The daily restrictions at the junction on the R420 will continue until Friday 5 December.
Laois Co Council said today that the temporary restrictions are for junction tightening works and the installation of a bus stop.
A notice published today on the council’s website said:
‘Portarlington/Graiguecullen Municipal District Temporary Traffic Management:
‘Junction of Bracklone St and Canal Road, Portarlington, Laois on the R420.
‘From 06/11/2025 - 05/12/2025, 08:00 to 18:00 for Junction Tightening Works and installation of Bus Stop.’
