Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi has officially been announced as a headline act at this year’s Electric Picnic festival in Stradbally.
The ‘Someone You Loved’ singer will headline Ireland’s biggest music and arts festival on Friday 28th August.
Capaldi, who earlier this week performed two shows in Dublin’s Marlay Park and will perform another in Limerick on 26 June, will join previously announced headliners Gorillaz and Fontaines D.C., plus CMAT, Sombr, Zara Larsson, and more.
Fans speculated that Capaldi would join the festival line-up after noticing t-shirts from his official merchandise included a date for Electric Picnic.
“The Cap’s out of the bag”, Electric Picnic said in a statement, adding: “We were always going to give you ‘Someone You Loved’”.
This year’s Electric Picnic returns to Co. Laois and will take place from 28th to 30th August 2026. It is due to welcome an estimated 80,000 music fans to the 600-acre Stradbally Estate.
Festival favourites such as Provedencia, Croí, Trailer Park, Fish Town, Salty Dog and Mindfield are set to return.
