Lisa Molloy appointed Head of Enterprise, Economic Development and Tourism in Laois

Laois County Council and Local Enterprise Office Laois have just announced the appointment of Lisa Molloy as the Head of Enterprise, Economic Development and Tourism.

In this role, Lisa will oversee the delivery of enterprise supports, economic development initiatives and tourism development activities across County Laois. Mrs Molloy will work closely with businesses, community organisations, government agencies, industry representatives and wider stakeholders to lead efforts to support entrepreneurship and enhance competitiveness, promoting the county as a premier location to live, work, visit and do business.

Michael Rainey, Chief Executive of Laois County Council, welcomed the appointment, and said:

"I am delighted to appoint Lisa Molloy as Head of Enterprise, Economic Development and Tourism. Lisa brings extensive experience in enterprise support, business development and leadership, together with a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing both businesses and local economies today.

As Head of Enterprise, Economic Development and Tourism, Lisa will lead the continued development of Local Enterprise Office supports while advancing the Council's wider economic and tourism objectives. Mrs Molloy had expressed that her focus will be continuing to build on the INVEST LAOIS campaign, creating opportunities for business growth, attracting investment, supporting innovation, developing a vibrant tourism offering and ensuring that Laois continues to compete successfully at a regional, national and international level.
