Long-serving Laois manager wins leadership award

A LONG-SERVING Laois manager has won a leadership award, after a career spanning more than three decades.
Liam McEvoy, managing director of Telfords in Portlaoise, was presented with the Leadership Team award at the fourth annual Chadwicks Appreciation and Recognition Awards (CARAs).
The popular manager was recognised and congratulated for his 35 years of service and dedication to the business.
Almost 400 colleagues from all over the country attended the awards ceremony at the Mansion House, Dublin on 23 January. There were 12 different categories, recognising outstanding contributions from branches, departments and colleagues across the entire Chadwicks Group.
At the award presentation, Liam was described as a colleague with over 35 years of service, during which he has displayed ‘unwavering dedication’ to the business.
The citation said: ‘Liam is known to his colleagues for his entrepreneurial spirit and he truly embodies the values of outstanding leadership and commitment.’
Chadwicks Group chief executive Patrick Atkinson commented: ‘It is a pleasure to congratulate Liam McEvoy on being named as the winner of the Leadership Team award, a recognition that reflects his 35 years at Chadwicks Group and his ability to consistently inspire everyone around him with his enthusiasm and passion.’
