Man accused of murdering his father in Ballyfin Demesne back in court

THE 30-year-old American who allegedly murdered his father was back before Portlaoise District Court this morning Monday 18 November.
Henry McGowan with an address at 114 Clinton Street, Brookyn, New York, USA is charged with the offence which allegedly took place at Ballyfin Lodge, Ballyfin, Laois on 12 November.
This morning’s case was conducted by video link from Cloverhill Remand Prison.
Mr McGowan’s solicitor Barry Fitzgerald said that his client was consenting to be remanded in custody for two weeks.
Judge Susan Fay remanded the accused in custody to appear in person before Portlaoise District Court on 2 December.
