Man arrested in Laois over alleged online threats
The man is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region
GARDAÍ investigating alleged threats that were shared online arrested a man in Abbeyleix, this morning Wednesday 28 May.
He is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Eastern Region under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A garda spokesperson said: “There is no ongoing threat to public safety at this time,” and said “As a person is now in custody there is no further comment at this time.”
