New beauty salon for Laois village

A BEAUTIFUL Laois village has a new beauty salon, following a big opening celebration at the weekend.
Prosecco, nibbles and goodies were on hand as local woman Faith Bennett officially opened The Beauty Haven in Rosenallis on Saturday afternoon.
A past-pupil of Mountmellick Community School with years of experience in the business, Faith says the opening of her own salon is a lifelong dream come true.
She said on social media: ‘This has been a vision in my heart for so long and seeing it come to life feels truly surreal. The Beauty Haven will be a space where everyone can relax, feel pampered and leave feeling their absolute best, because beauty is more than how you look, it’s how you feel.’
She also thanked everyone who supported her along the way, saying: ’Your encouragement means the world. I can’t wait to welcome you all into my new salon and start this next exciting chapter.’
It was a weekend of rejuvenation for the picturesque village near the Slieve Blooms as the salon’s next door neighbour Village Tap, the only pub in the village, reopened on Friday after nearly six years.
Formerly Poole’s Tavern, the pub was a major loss to Rosenallis when it remained closed after the Covid lockdown but has reopened with a new name and new owners, Mark Dunne and Wayne Walshe, who carried out a major renovation.
